The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

2 - UNITY OF GOD

Deuteronomy 6:4 -- “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!

The great goal of Jewish history – according to Maimonides - is Israel’s affirmation of the Unity of God.”

“Nothing corporeal can be a unity, either because everything corporeal is divisible or because it is a compound; that is to say, it can logically be analyzed into elements; because a body can be said to be a certain body only when the distinguishing element is added to the corporeal substratum, and it must therefore include two elements; but it has been proved that the Absolute admits o no dualism whatever.”*

* Moreh Nebuchim II, 1

Maimonides includes the two beliefs concerning the Unity and Incorporeality of God among the Thirteen Basic Principles of Faith.
