The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

33 - THE PRIESTLY GARMENTS

Exodus 28:2 -- “And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.”
Exodus 29:8-9 -- 8 “Then you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them. 9 And you shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put the hats on them. The priesthood shall be theirs for a perpetual statute. So you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.”
Leviticus 8:8 -- “Then he put the breastplate on him, and he put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastplate.

In his Mishneh Torah, Maimonides clearly expresses the opinion that the penalty of death at the hand of Heaven is incurred by a priest who performs the service with more garments than the number appointed.*
