The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

100 - AFTER CHILDBIRTH

Leviticus 12:2 -- “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'If a woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean.”

Scripture provides that a woman after childbirth must remain in her impurity for a period of seven days if she has given birth to a son and of fourteen days if she has given birth to a daughter. During this period of impurity, her uncleanness is in every respect like that of a menstruant (see Lev 15: 19- 24; 18: 19).
