The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

122 - THE FORGOTTEN SHEAF FOR THE POOR

Deuteronomy 24:19 -- “When you reap your harvest in your field, and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.”

The Mishnah says: “A man may not hire a laborer on the condition that the laborer’s son shall glean behind him. If a man will not suffer the poor to glean, or suffers one and not another, or helps one of them, he is deemed a robber of the poor.”*
