The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

218 - A VIOLATOR TO MARRY A MAIDEN WHOM HE HAS VIOLATED

Deuteronomy 22:29 -- “Then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days.”

“The violator must drink out of his earthen pot, etc. What is meant by ‘drink out of his earthen pot’? He must marry her even if she is lame, even if she is blind, and even if she is afflicted with boils.”* However, consent of both the maiden and her father must be obtained before the marriage, so that if consent is withheld by either, the violator is under no obligation to marry her.**
