48 - MAKING A COVENANT WITH THE SEVEN NATIONS OF CANAAN

Deuteronomy 7:2 -- “And when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them.”

By this prohibition, it is forbidden to make a covenant with the heretics.*

* I.e. the seven nations of Canaan, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites
