310 - PERMITTING A SORCERER TO LIVE

Exodus 22:18 --You shall not permit a sorceress to live.

If a court pardons any culprit who is liable to the death-penalty (see positive commands 226-229), it is guilty of violating a positive commandment; and in the case of a sorcerer it is also liable for violation of the negative commandment now under consideration.*
