317 - CURSING AN ISRAELITE


Leviticus 19:14 -- “You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shall fear your God: I am the LORD.”
Exodus 22:28 -- “You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people.”

The Sages say: “he who loses his temper is exposed to all the torments of Gehenna”,* and “To allow oneself to be carried away by wrath is as bad as worshipping idols”.**
