How to Uncover Basic Flaws and Hidden Lies in Attacks against the Christian Faith
PART 2 - THE BASIC APPROACH OF PRESUPPOSITIONAL APOLOGETICS

9. How to approach apologetics

How then shall we do apologetics? Peter sets it out very clearly. Start by “sanctifying Christ as Lord in your hearts” (1 Peter 3:15a). You start with Christ; you don’t end with Him! If you do this, you will live as a Christian. If you do live as a Christian, you will be asked for “the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 2:15b). However, as you respond to such questions of unbelievers, you can use elements from the mindset of the unbeliever, if such borrowings do not compromise the truth of the Gospel message that you are sharing, and even more so, if they lead the unbeliever to simultaneously realize the contradictions in his own mindset.
