026 - Preview of STAGE 4: Competing Approaches

The concluding stage of this ministry course will comprise three supplements, which can be understood as marking the OUTER LIMITS of our approach to investigating the Koran biblically. We will try to show that in addition to our biblical approach in comparing the Bible and the Koran a number of COMPETING APPROACHES have been adopted in this contested field of studies. We look at three of them:

The approaches based on rabbinical writings;

The approaches based on the Koran; and

The approaches based on secular rationalism.

These competing approaches mark outer limits, because their basis lies outside the biblical foundation, which has guided our investigations.
