Home -- English-1 -- English-2 -- BIK01 -- Step 181 - Sura 3:33 added in the Koran

This page in: -- Arabic? -- ENGLISH -- French? -- German?

Previous Step -- Next Step

BIK01 - Biblical Investigations of the Koran
A Ministry Course on Biblical Content in the Koran
STAGE 2 - Biblical PASSAGES and Biblical PERSONALITIES in the Koran
UNIT 10 - CONCLUDE - Bring together all findings in a panorama on how biblical content about Adam was modified in the Koran
10.2 - Adam in Genesis 2

181 - Adam 06 - Allah elected Adam over the worlds

Texts -- BIBLE: None ---- ADDED in KORAN: Sura Al 'Imran 3:33

Contrast 1 -- BIBLE: Yahweh Elohim did NOT elect Adam over (all) the worlds. -- KORAN: Allah elected Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of 'Imran (Moses' father) over (all) the worlds. >> Meaning >> BIBLE: God did elect Noah, Abraham and Moses, but NOT Adam, because he did NOT command the angels to worship Adam. -- KORAN: Allah elected Adam in a way comparable to Noah, Abraham and Moses, because the Koran teaches (see Step 187 -- Adam 07 below) that all angels were commanded to worship Adam. Election “over the worlds” in the Koran, means election “over the worlds of humans and Jinn or angels”.
