The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

138 - REVERSION OF LAND IN THE JUBILEE YEAR

Leviticus 25:13.24 -- 13 “In this Year of Jubilee, each of you shall return to his possession. … 24 And in all the land of your possession you shall grant redemption of the land.”
Leviticus 25:15-16.27 -- 15 “According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor, and according to the number of years of crops he shall sell to you. 16 According to the multitude of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewer number of years you shall diminish its price; for he sells to you according to the number of the years of the crops. … 27 then let him count the years since its sale, and restore the remainder to the man to whom he sold it, that he may return to his possession.”
Leviticus 25:31 -- “However the houses of villages which have no wall around them shall be counted as the fields of the country. They may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.”

This commandment is binding only in the Land of Israel.

Speaking of the laws concerning the Jubilee year, Maimonides says: “There are some precepts in this class that serve to secure for the people a permanent source of maintenance and support by providing that the land should remain the permanent property of its owners, and that it could not be sold. “The land shall not be sold permanently” (Leviticus 25:23). In this way the property of a person remains intact for him and his heirs, and the purchaser can only enjoy the produce thereof.”*
