9.3. Fear for Muslims
Related to the previous point is fear of the consequences to Muslims. This will be discussed in greater depth in a later section, but in many places, conversion to Christianity, reading the Bible, or even just engaging in religious discussion with Christians may lead to serious consequences whether legal (imprisonment or death) or social. Some Christians do not wish to take responsibility for such consequences. Of course this fear should be outweighed by the necessity of evangelism as highlighted above, the value of the relationship with God which we share, and the knowledge that ultimately it is God alone who saves and not us who converts another person.
