The Light of the World
The Qur'an testifies that the light of Allah shines clearly in the Gospel and that whoever reads the words of Christ will be enlightened so that the heavenly light will shine through him. He will not walk in darkness, but will have a bright future. Christ said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (John 8:12).
Christ illuminates His followers so that they will not walk in life frowning, but bear the light of heaven in their hearts. Christ said, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). They will abandon deception, adultery and hatred and will serve others so that the heavenly light would dwell in them too.
