20. For Readers of the Qur'an
BOOKLET 4 - NAMES AND ATTRIBUTES OF CHRIST IN THE QUR'AN

13) Not A Miserable Tyrant (ليس جبارا شقيا)

By this unique title, the Qur'an proves that Jesus was meek and humble in heart (Sura Mayram 19:32 and Matthew 11:29).

The Son of Mary did not search for pomp and greatness in the fellowship of kings and princes, but went to the poor and searched for the needy. He did not take part in bloody attacks or wars, nor did he carry out his own desires by force, but confessed, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work." (John 4:34)

The Son of Mary was not weak or cowardly, but possessed unlimited spiritual power. He drove out demons from the possessed, stilled a hurricane with mere words and fed five-thousand hungry people with only five loaves and two fish (John 6:1-13). The Son of Man did not use his power for himself or for the sake of honor, but for helping others and healing many. He does not reject anyone, but saves whoever longs for salvation (John 3:17-19).
