Introduction
Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy- laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
I would like to talk about the supremacy of light over the power of darkness. The light is Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. The darkness is the devil with his activities. I will show you how I wandered all over the world in search of power and how the power of Jesus Christ overpowers principalities of the world.
Many people fail to understand this great power, because their activities are from the darkness and all they do is evil. (See John 3:19)
I have tested Christ and know who He is and the sweetness which He offers abundantly. Those who put their trust in Him will never be put to shame, nor will they be confounded or disgraced. (See Romans 9:31, 10:11 and 1 Peter 2:6)
Christ is the light of the world and the only wall for all believers. We do not have any hope except Christ. When Christ was on the cross he shouted, “It is finished!” This means that all activities related to blood sacrifices were hung on the cross. If light is reflected on an area, then darkness disappears. I was married to the world and was ruled by the king of the world, the devil, who is the great enemy of the cross. I was in the world, wretched, wicked, a great sinner, an enemy to the cross of Calvary. There was no good in me, not even as much as a mustard seed. I was a lost sheep, a prodigal son, filled with evil. But I will tell you how the Lord Jesus Christ delivered me from my rotten life. When you read about this great redemptive work of Christ consider your own life: what does it look like?
