How The Supremacy Of Light Overpowered The Power Of Darkness In Me
On December 9, 1985 I left Gombe to Dadin Kowa where we had a camp of our army (yan tauri). I went there to see the progress of the troops. God told me that today is the day! And you will not escape. I was wearing the Bante after leaving my luggage in the lodge. The mysterious thing about the Bante was that when I wore it, no one could see me. I was on the road to the camp when I heard someone calling me. I was surprised! How could that person see me while I had the Bante on? I was amazed. I pretended not to see the man. I touched the Bante so that I would vanish, but it was impossible! Power surpasses power! When all attempts to vanish failed, I went to him and he ordered me to come to his house. He showed me the direction of his house. Alas! This man was a Pastor, his name was Innocent Raphael Udo. I promised him that I would come down to his house, but my intention was to go and consecrate the Bante. I went and bought some scent (dan goma and dan gora). I went and poured it on the Bante with the hope that it would become normal again. But it was in vain. Power surpasses power. I went to the pastor but could not meet him. I went again to consecrate the Bante, but there was no power. I went back to the Man of God. Again I did not meet him, but on my way back I saw him. He called me inside his room. As I sat down I saw Jesus standing upright at the door with a sword. Then I hurriedly told him that I came to confess my sins and accept Jesus as my personal saviour. When I did that Jesus disappeared. Immediately after I finished my confession something very heavy went out from me and I felt as light as a feather. The weight which went out from me showed me how the power of darkness had left me and how Jesus had won the battle in which I was the battlefield. There was no more wickedness, nor more deceit, no Bante, no charms, no Satan. All were driven away by Jesus. I was redeemed, set free from the bondage of darkness!
If Jesus sets you free, you are free indeed! (John 8:36) Are you free? Jesus is calling: “Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden (with sin), and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Any peace, if not from Jesus, is peace in vain. Dear reader, do you need the PEACE OF JESUS?
Even through I had repented, all the charms and other devilish materials were with me until December 31, 1985. On that day all this material was gathered on a pile and set on fire. For quite some time it refused to burn. When prayers were offered the fire consumed all of it. I enumerated only some of what I did, but I chose the major parts of my wickedness. I want you to see the great work which Christ has done. Jesus has destroyed the power of Satan, the power of darkness, the stones that burdened my life, and now He throws light in my life. The power of darkness cannot reject the power of light. I became a new creature; old things have passed away and, behold, all things have become new. (2. Corinthians 5:17)
A power of darkness can challenge another power of darkness, that is AMORC (Rosicrucians) versus Witchcraft, Eckanbar versus Delawrence. But no power can challenge the Power of Jesus Christ!
