40 - MEN WEARING WOMEN'S CLOTHES OR ADORNMENTS

Deuteronomy 22:5 -- “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God.”

“Whoever plucks out white hairs from among the dark in his beard or on his head is punished by whipping – even if he has removed only one hair – the transgression being the use of adornments peculiar to women. Similarly, one who dyes his hair a dark color, even if he has only dyed a single white hair, is punished by whipping.”*

* Mishneh Torah, Hilchoth Abodath Kochabim XII, 10
