Previous Prohibition -- Next Prohibition

The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 2 - The 365 Prohibitions of the Tora

203 - A NAZIRITE EATING FRESH GRAPES

Numbers 6:3 -- “…nor eat fresh grapes…”

It should be noted that the Nazirite vow is also included in the terms of Negative Commandment 157. Hence, the Nazirite who drinks wine, or eats fresh grapes, etc., is liable to whipping on two counts: one for violation of the commandment pertaining to the Nazirite as such, and the other for violation of Negative Commandment 157, which prohibits any person from violating any restriction or obligation by which he has orally vowed to be bound.*
