The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 2 - The 365 Prohibitions of the Tora

224 - CULTIVATING THE SOIL IN THE JUBILEE YEAR

Leviticus 25:4 -- “But in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the LORD. You shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.”
Leviticus 25:11 -- “That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee to you; in it you shall neither sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather the grapes of your untended vine.”

“The law of the Jubilee regarding the resting of the land and the law of the seventh year are one and the same for all purposes. Whatever is prohibited in the cultivation of the land in the seventh year is prohibited in the Jubilee Year, and whatever is permissible in the seventh year is permissible in the Jubilee Year. Work, which is punishable by whipping in the seventh year, is similarly punishable in the Jubilee Year. The law concerning fruit which grows in the Jubilee Year, as regards eating, selling, and removing it (from the house, as soon as fruit of that kind is no longer found by animals in the field) is similar in every respect to the law concerning fruit which grows in the seventh year.”*
