The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 2 - The 365 Prohibitions of the Tora

279 - A JUDGE PITYING ONE WHO HAS SLAIN A MAN

Deuteronomy 19:13.21 -- 13Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you. … 21 Your eye shall not pity; but life shall be for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.”

By this prohibition, a judge is forbidden to pity one who has slain a man, or caused him the loss of a limb, in fixing the penalty.
