The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 2 - The 365 Prohibitions of the Tora

353 - INTIMACY WITH A KINSWOMAN

Leviticus 18:3 -- “According to the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their ordinances.”
Leviticus 18:6 --None of you shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his nakedness: I am the LORD.”

In his “Mishneh Torah”, Maimonides states: “Similarly one should accustom oneself to refrain from light-hearted conversation, drunkenness, and all manner of lewd talk, for all theses constitute great causes of actual unchastity… More important than all this, according to the sages, is that a man should devote himself and his mind to study of Torah, seeking always to broaden his knowledge of its wisdom, since thoughts of lewdness arise only in a heart that is turned away from the pursuit of wisdom.”*
