Sura al-Baqara 2:220 (Malik) - Yatama (Orphans) 2:220 of this present world, and of the next. They will also ask thee concerning orphans: Answer, to deal righteously with them is best and if ye intermeddle with [the management of what belongs to] them, [do them no wrong]; they are your brethren: God knoweth the corrupt dealer from the righteous; and of God please, he will surely distress you, for God is mighty and wise. Sura al-Nisa' 4:3 (Hanf+Malik+Hanb) - Nikah (Marriage) 4:3 And if ye fear that ye shall not act with equity towards orphans [of the female sex], take in marriage of such [other] women as please you, two, or three, or four, [and not more]. But if ye fear that ye cannot act equitably [towards so many, marry] one [only], or the slaves which ye shall have acquired. This will be easier, that ye swerve not [from righteousness]. Sura al-Nisa' 4:6 (Malik) - Nikah (Marriage) 4:6 And examine the orphans until they attain [the age] of marriage: But if ye perceive they are able to manage their affairs well, deliver their substance unto them; and waste it not extravagantly, or hastily, because they grow up. Let him who is rich abstain [entirely from the orphans estates]; and let him who is poor take [thereof] according to what shall be reasonable. And when ye deliver their substance unto them, call witnesses [thereof] in their presence: God taketh sufficient account [of your actions]. Sura al-Nisa' 4:8 (Shaf) - Mirath (Inheritance) 4:8 And when they who are of kin are present at the dividing [of what is left], and also the orphans, and the poor; distribute unto them [some part] thereof; and [if the estate be too small, at least] speak comfortably unto them. Sura al-Nisa' 4:10 (Hanf+Malik) - Mirath (Inheritance) 4:10 Surely they who devour the possessions of orphans unjustly, shall swallow down nothing but fire into their bellies, and shall broil in raging flames. Sura al-Nahl 16:91 (Hanb) - Yatama (Orphans) 16:91 Perform [your] covenant with God, when ye enter into covenant [with him]; and violate not [your] oaths, after the ratification thereof; since ye have made God a witness over you. Verily God knoweth that which ye do. Sura al-Isra' 17:26 (Hanf+Hanb) - Zakat (Religious Taxes) 17:26 And give unto him who is of kin [to you] his due, and [also] unto the poor, and the traveller. And waste not [thy substance] profusely: Sura al-Isra' 17:31 (Hanb) - Yatama (Orphans) 17:31 Kill not your children for fear of being brought to want; we will provide for them and for you: Verily the killing them is a great sin. Sura al-Isra' 17:34 (Hanf+Malik+Shaf) - Yatama (Orphans) 17:34 And meddle not with the substance of the orphan, unless it be to improve it, until he attain his age of strength: And perform [your] covenant; for the [performance of your] covenant shall be inquired into [hereafter]. Sura al-Nur 24:33 (Malik) - Zakat (Religious Taxes) 24:33 And let those who find not a match, keep themselves [from fornication], until God shall enrich them of his abundance. And unto such of your slaves as desire a written instrument [allowing them to redeem themselves on paying a certain sum], write [one], if ye know good in them; and give them of the riches of God, which he hath given you. And compel not your maid-servants to prostitute themselves, if they be willing to live chastly; that ye may seek the casual [advantage] of this present life: But whoever shall compel them [thereto], verily God [will be] gracious [and] merciful [unto such women] after their compulsion.
