SECTION FOUR: UNDERSTANDING ISLAMIC BARRIERS TO THE GOSPEL

CHAPTER NINE: BARRIERS FOR CHRISTIANS TO OVERCOME WHEN EVANGELISING MUSLIMS

When it comes to introducing Christ to Muslims, no one can deny the difficulty of the task. Some may consider it an impossible task. Even though I do agree the task is very difficult, I consider it in no way impossible.

As for the difficulty of the task, there are many reasons for such difficulty. Some of these reasons relate to the Christian him- or her-self, and these are the ones we shall look at first. In the following chapters we will look at those difficulties which prove challenging for Muslims, of which it is both important and helpful for Christians to be aware of. But first of all let’s consider the question of why we should introduce Christ to Muslims. Do we have a choice, or is it something that as Christians we can avoid?
