15.7. Preach the whole counsel of God
We are often guilty of preaching a one-sided Christianity, which promises the truth of peace and comfort while ignoring the reality of persecution and difficulties. As a result, if troubles come, they are harder to deal with.
We have to remember always, when God gives us a command He also gives us the power to do it. We are given many promises to be used by God for the advancement of His kingdom if we are faithful. We are not asked to achieve a specific result, but simply to be loyal and faithful to our king. Yes, trouble may come and yes we will suffer, but that is part of being redeemed. We have to remember we have a King who knows our suffering.
