The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 1 - The 248 Positive Commandments of the Tora

84 - ALL OFFERINGS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE SANCTUARY

Deuteronomy 12:13-14 --13 “Take heed to yourself that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see; 14 but in the place which the LORD chooses, in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.”

Some say that the burnt offering must be brought in the sanctuary, and other offerings may be brought anywhere

Maimonides attached special importance to this commandment, which he regarded as a safeguard against idolatry and the practice of sacrificing to the forces of nature in the open fields. By restricting the sacrificial service to the sanctuary, the people were gradually weaned from idol-worship.*
