The Sharia of Moses in the TORA
Part 2 - The 365 Prohibitions of the Tora

129 - AN UNCLEAN PERSON EATING HOLLOWED FOOD

Leviticus 12:4 -- “She shall then continue in the blood of her purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.”
Leviticus 7:20 -- “But the person who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the LORD, while he is unclean, that person shall be cut off from his people.”

The commandment applies to the meat of both clean and unclean offerings, and forbids an unclean person, under penalty of extinction, to eat of either of them. If the unclean person has duly immersed himself, but must wait for sunset before he is deemed fully clean, he is still prohibited from eating them; but in case of violation the punishment is not “loss of a soul” but only whipping.*
