268 - A HIRED LABORER CONSUMING EXCESSIVELY


Deuteronomy 23:25 -- “When you come into your neighbor's standing grain, you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not use a sickle on your neighbor's standing grain.”

The provisions of this commandment are explained in the seventh chapter of Baba Mezia, where it is also explained what it is permissible for him to eat, and what he is not allowed to eat, and cannot eat without violating the prohibition: but you shall not put any in your container. (Deuteronomy 23:24)
