The Sharia of Christ in the GOSPEL
E - Commandments of Christ related to Principles of FAITH in the New Covenant

1. PREREQUISITES

THE LAW OF CHRIST FOR HIS FOLLOWERS

PART ONE: Principles of Faith in the New Covenant, or: What Should Disciples of Jesus Believe?

In the verses of this part, on the principles of faith in the new covenant of Christ, we highlight names, attributes and deeds of God (underlined), which are the doctrinal content of what disciples of Jesus should believe in. However, these same verses often also contain commandments and instructions of Christ (in boldface), evidences of spiritual rights, conditional clauses and other legal statements related to these contents of faith. Some of these commandments will also appear in other parts of this series according to the respective subject that each commandment belongs to.

1. Prerequisites

Matthew 11:25-30 -- 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
John 3:3-7 -- 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." 4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ' You must be born again.'
John 6:46-47 -- 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.
John 8:47 -- He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."
Matthew 11:15 -- He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (See also Matthew 13:9.13.14.43, Mark 4:9.23, Luke 8:8.10, 14:35; John 5:28, Revelation 2:7.11.17.29, 3:6.13.22, 9:13)
John 17:6-8 -- 6 "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept {Your word+}. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
