139 - EATING MEAT OF SIN OFFERINGS WHOSE BLOOD HAS BEEN BROUGHT WITHIN THE SANCTUARY
Leviticus 6:23 -- “For every grain offering for the priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten.”
This commandment includes the prohibition of the eating of an “external” sin offering (i.e. a sin offering whose blood has to be sprinkled on the outer altar), or of any offering, if the priests have brought any of its blood into the sanctuary.* The same law also applies if the blood of an offering that should be dashed upon the outside of the Veil of the Holy of Holies is brought into the Holy of Holies.**
