15.1. Be welcoming despite caution
Some churches don’t accept new converts easily, in some cases out of concern that they might be a police informer ‒ which does happen in some countries. In other cases, you may not be sure about whether a person has truly come to faith or is expressing genuine interest, or whether they have an ulterior motive. These are valid concerns, but they must not stop us preaching the gospel in love.
