028 - Preview of Unit 19: MUSLIM Approaches to the Comparative Study of the Bible and the Koran
Muslims also have their own agenda. They believe in the Koran as the final revelation from Allah and therefore they approach the Bible on the basis of their trust in the Koran.
In an overview we will first highlight how this Muslim approach determines the attacks of many conservative Muslims against the Bible, even though in theory they think highly of the Bible.
At the same time, however, Muslims, even the conservative ones, surprisingly do use the Bible to prove their beliefs. As an example, we will outline how Muslims try to find prophecies in the Bible about the coming of Muhammad.
