09.1.6 - Element 6: Consequences of breaking this interdiction
167 - Element 6: ANALYSIS - How Genesis 2:17b was changed in the Koran
This is the biblical climax of the matter. According to the Bible, when you eat of this “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” you will not maybe die, but you will surely die! This fundamental biblical truth was omitted in the Koran and replaced by the harmless statement that if you approach this tree “you would be among the wrongdoers”, i.e. you would have done something wrong, just a mistake. What would happen if you ate from the tree is of no concern in the Koran, because it only forbids drawing near this tree.
