187 - Adam 12 - How the snake seduced Adam's wife in the Garden
Texts -- BIBLE: Genesis 3:1-5 ---- CHANGED in KORAN: Suras al-A'raf 7:20+27 -- Ta Ha 20:120
Contrast 1 -- BIBLE: The snake seduced the woman. -- KORAN: Satan tempted / whispered to Adam and his wife. >> Meaning >> BIBLE: By appearing as a snake, the Bible reveals the deceitful nature of Satan. -- KORAN: The deceitful nature of SATAN is NOT revealed in the Koran, because the Koran teaches that Satan directly tempted in the garden.
Contrast 2 -- BIBLE: The snake casts doubt about God's command. The woman answers by exaggerating the command of God. -- KORAN: NO doubt is mentioned about Allah's command and NO details of a dialogue between Satan and the woman are given. >> Meaning >> BIBLE: The Bible here reveals spiritual details about how temptation works. -- KORAN: NO spiritual details about how temptation works are given in the Koran.
Contrast 3 -- BIBLE: The woman knows that sin brings death, because Yahweh had revealed this to Adam, her husband. -- KORAN: Adam and his mate (i.e. wife) do NOT know that sin brings death, because Allah had not revealed it to Adam. >> Meaning >> See Step 185 - Adam 10 above.
Contrast 4 -- BIBLE: The snake lies, by saying the woman would not die, but says the truth that her eyes will be opened and know what is good and evil. And the snake exaggerates by saying “you will be like God”. Also, the snake does NOT point to a tree of eternity and unending rule. -- KORAN: There is NO direct lie of Satan in the Koran, also NO indication that the eyes of Adam will be opened and NO promise by Satan that Adam will know good and evil; also, Satan does NOT tempt Adam that he will be like Allah. Instead Satan tempted Adam and his mate (i.e. wife) by pointing out a tree of eternity (or perpetuity) and unending royal rule. >> Meaning >> BIBLE: The snake's core seduction is to become like God! This characterizes all our sins. -- KORAN: Satan's core seduction is to receive immortal rule.
