10.5. The law of apostasy


Islam teaches that anyone who leaves Islam is a traitor and should be put to death. Even where this does not happen, an apostate will be disowned by their family, and risk losing their possessions, work, spouse, children and so on. Thus they consider that no-one in their right mind would take this step!
