21. Supremacy of Light over the Power of Darkness

How I Compared Christ with Muhammad As A Muslim

We should know that the Qur'an mentions Christ 93 times but Muhammad only 4 times explicitly. This is one of the reasons why we should know that Christ is the only way to salvation. Muhammad, whom Muslims preach, knew the Truth about Jesus. This can be seen in the following Qur'anic passages:

1. (The disciples of Jesus said): “O our Lord (i.e. O Allah)! We have believed in (the Word) that you have revealed (through Jesus) and we have followed the Messenger (i.e. Christ, the One sent from you). So enlist us among those who bear witness (to Christ).” (Sura Al 'Imran 3:53)

Here Christ is implicitly called the Word from God, and this in the Qur'an. If we refer to John 1:1 we find that Christ there is explicitly called the divine Word. In Him all things were made. He is the Word from the beginning. The Bible then goes on to tell us that the Light came into the world but people did not receive Him, because they loved darkness. Those who are in darkness should come out of it and accept Jesus.

2. (At the time) when the angels said: “O Mary! Truly Allah is giving you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, whose name is Christ, 'Isa, the Son of Mary, respected in the world and in the hereafter, and one of those brought near (to Allah).” (Sura Al 'Imran 3:45)

Here the Qur'an explicitly calls Christ the Word from Allah.

3. 16 And remember in the Book Mary when she withdrew herself to a place in the East. 17 Then she placed a screen (to seclude herself) from them. Then we sent to her our Spirit and he appeared to her in human form. 18 She said: “I take refuge with the Compassionate (i.e. Allah) from you. (Do not touch me,) if you are pious.” 19 He said: “I am only the messenger of your Lord (Allah) to bequeath unto you a holy (lit. faultless) lad.” 20 She said: “How can I have a lad if no man touched me and if I am not unchaste?” 21 He said: “That is how it is! Your Lord (Allah) said: ‘For Me it is easy! And We will make him (i.e. Christ) to be a miraculous sign for the worlds and a mercy from Us.’” Thus the matter was decided. (Sura Maryam 19:16-21)

Here Mary is told by the angel the good news that she will give birth to a holy begotten Son from her Lord (God). The passage does not indicate as to how this would be accomplished. It is left for God to do.

4. (Christ said:) “Peace is upon me on the day I was born, on the day I die and on the day I am raised alive (to Allah)!” (Sura Maryam 19:33)

If Christ was only a prophet, then no other prophet received such adoration. These Qur'anic verses are clear proofs that Christ is not a human being. He is Lord and Savior. Accept Him today and you will be saved from the danger of darkness. Invite light into your life.

"He that has the Son has life; and he that does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:12)

Dear reader, do you have life, or are you still contemplating to have it? It will be too late, if you do not accept it. - I also pondered on another verse of the Qur'an about Christ:

5. They (Adam and his wife after sinning) said: "We have wronged ourselves, and if you do not forgive and have mercy upon us we will truly be among the losers." (Sura al-A'araf 7,23)

I observed that all the prophets in Islam were subject to this verse, except Christ. This means:

"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved", except the name of JESUS. (Acts 4:12)

Jesus Christ did not sin, neither did he confess any sin, for He is God, Lord and Savior. If Christ had sinned, the Jews would have stoned him to death. But I remember His encounter with the Jews, when He asked,

"Can any among you convict me of sin?"
(John 8:46)

From all indications only the sinless can forgive sin. - Then there was a time when I thought of another verse in the Qur'an:

6. (Abraham said to Allah): "Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents ..." (Sura Ibrahim 14:41)

I thought about this verse and concluded that if a prophet like Abraham had to make such a confession, how much more is this true of his followers? He cannot save himself, how much less his followers? He only prayed for himself and his parents and not for his followers. Think about this. - I looked to another holy text in Islam, this time in the traditions. According to Bukhari one such saying of Muhammad says the following:

7. The prophet Muhammad said to his daughter Fatima: “O my daughter Fatima! I will give you all that I possessed. But there is one thing that I cannot give you: I will not deliver you from the judgment of Allah the almighty.” (Sahih Bukhari 702)

If a prophet cannot deliver his daughter from the judgment of God, how will his daughter stand on the day of judgment? And what will be the standing of all other people on judgment day? - In another tradition the prophet Muhammad said:

8. “O Lord! Wash my unrighteousness and my iniquities with holy water.”

In another verse of the Qur'an Allah himself says:

9. We have created man ... and we are closer to him than (his) jugular vein. (Sura Qaf 50:16)

This means that we should not go somewhere to seek God. This verse condemns anyone who faces a certain direction in order to worship God.

10. The Caliph Abu Bakr said: “How can I be saved while there is no good in me? My transgressions have condemned me. I am seeking peace from you.”

This Caliph is saying what Muhammad said.

11. I also compared the life of Jesus with that of Muhammad and discovered that Jesus preached peace: John 14:27, 16:33, 20:19, Luke 2:14 and 19:38. On the other hand, when I looked at Muhammad, I found him preaching wars and the shedding of blood for the sake of Allah. Choose one side now!

12. “We have made the book come to Moses, and we have made messengers come after him; and we have made (clear) miraculous signs come to 'Isa (Jesus) and we have strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. ...” (Sura al-Baqara 2:87)

If Jesus would have been sinful, the Qur'an would not have stated all these facts about Christ. The ball is in your court. But I am still telling you that:

"He who has the Son has life, but he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." (1 John 5:12)
