011 - Preview of Unit 04: Biblical PERSONALITIES in the Koran

Next we restrict our attention to the passages of the Bible, which contain the biographies of such biblical personalities as have been taken up in the Koran. To bring together such biblical content in the Koran we searched for and compiled verses and passages in the Koran that seem to have been influenced by the Bible.

For this we studied each biblical personality taken up in the Koran and produced two lists of passages:

This Unit 04 can be used as a reference manual about which texts in the Bible and the Koran concerning biblical personalities seem to be related to each other (i.e. biblical personalities in the Bible and the Koran).

Of course, the Bible contains many biblical personalities that were not taken up by the Koran. Also, the Koran has some koranic personalities that do not appear in the Bible. These other personalities we do not study, because we only focus on biblical personalities, which have left traces in the Koran.
