BIK01 - Biblical Investigations of the Koran
A Ministry Course on Biblical Content in the Koran
STAGE 1 - INTRODUCTION
UNIT 01 - PREVIEW: What to expect in this ministry course

015 - Preview of Unit 08: Investigate ADDITIONS

To investigate additions of non-biblical material on Adam to the Koran we tried to answer the following questions:

a) What is the content and koranic significance of non-biblical verses on Adam added by the Koran?
b) From where did the Koran get these added verses? And
c) What can you do about this in your ministry?

In the present Unit 08 we applied this our general procedure to two examples of non-biblical passages on Adam, which the Koran has added:

a) Allah commanded the angels to worship Adam right after his creation; all obeyed except the Devil, who was condemned by Allah, but given a respite on the Devil's appeal (Suras al-Baqara 2:34 -- al-A'raf 7:11-18 -- al-Hijr 15:28-43 -- al-Isra' 17:61-65 -- Ta Ha 20:116-117 -- Sad 38:71-85); and
b) Adam's repentance and restitution (Suras al-Baqara 2:37 -- al-A'raf 7:23 -- Ta Ha 20:122).

Here you can access the content of this UNIT 08 (Steps 116 to 147):

08.1 - ADDITION EXAMPLE 1: Allah commanded the angels to worship Adam right after his creation. All obeyed except the Devil, who was condemned by Allah, but given respite on the Devil's appeal (Six koranic passages about Adam added by the Koran)
08.2 - ADDITION EXAMPLE 2: Adam's repentance and restitution (Three koranic verses about Adam added by the Koran)
