20 - PLEADING FOR THE MISLEADER


Deuteronomy 13:8 -- “You shall not consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him”

This prohibition applies also to the members of the court sitting in judgment on the meisith. The burden of the defense thus rests entirely on the accused himself.*
