003 - General Introduction
The Bible and the Koran are the two most influential books in the world today. More than 2,000 million Christians today live by the Bible and more than 1,500 million Muslims live by the Koran. In this ministry course we want to lay foundations for investigations at the borderline between these two most important books in human history: the Bible and the Koran. We have been examining material and subjects in this area for more than 35 years now and here we would like to share with you some of the experiences that we made as we ministered in this field.
The experiences and suggestions presented here are designed as a Christian ministry course. This means that the units below can be used as a textbook for a course in a Bible seminary to help you get prepared for serving Christ among Muslims, or as a practical guide for personal studies at the borderline between the Bible and the Koran. Each unit will begin and end with a prayerful meditation on a Bible verse about the Word of God and will include assignments at the end, to help you practically explore subjects at the borderline between the Bible and the Koran.
The twenty units in this ministry course are grouped in two parts and four stages. The present first part comprises stages one and two, which include units one to ten. In future we plan to present the second part comprising stages three and four, which will include units eleven to twenty.
