14.3. ChildrenWhen it comes to children, there are a whole new set of problems. In my personal life, one of the hardest things is when my daughter talks about her family. She has grown up knowing nothing about my side of the family, only her mother’s side (as my wife was born into a Christian family). In the case where both parents are converts, the children grow up with no extended family at all and this can be very hard. This is where the church can be really helpful, by including converts as part of their family; yes, it may be hard, but not impossible. |
